Panoptix on Ultrex, ulterra, or Xi5

Can anyone share their experience with panoptix on these electronic steer TM's? Do you just not use the panoptix when in spotlock mode? Or are you using a daducer or similar alternative mount?

Im using a separate stick mount partly for that reason - spot lock - but mostly because I want to be able to look all around when the boat is moving without having to turn the motor. Its also much easier to fine tune directions turning it by hand than with the trolling motor.

Do you have to bend over to turn your mount or is it high enough to not bend over (which would get in the way of casting?)?

check out precisionsonar.com, they have a cool mount for the Ulterra that I plan to use to mount my Panoptix on my Ulterra.
Have not used it yet but guys on Walleye central seem to like it.

Im the odd ball on this board - I dont have a bass boat. Most of our fishing is in salt water and we dont fish from the front much at all unless we happen to be bass fishing. I only have a single display at the helm. Thats where I have my PS21 mount -at the helm position - so I can watch the screen as I turn the mount by hand. I control the trolling motor with the remote.

I dont see why you couldnt do something with a longer pole at the front though.
