    Good warm weather rain gear?

Looking at buying some rain gear for me and my son. Is there a good quality brand that anyone can recommend that won't make us sweat to death? Also, what is a better combo, bibs and coat or pants and coat? Thanks.

I have a Frog Tog set but the zipper broke about after a year of service. It is light weight but that darn zipper stinks after my wife tried to repair it.

I then went back to a 30 year old jacket and bib from Kool Dri. I cleaned it and it still keeps me dry and cool.

$500 for the jacket and pants? You just can't hide money.

Not sure what prices you're looking at but 149 for a jacket and 99 for pants does not equal 500. Even with your hillbilly math I'm sure I can get it cheaper from the board rep though. I had never even checked the price though. I rarely do.

i got the numbers from Bass Mafia Tackle http://www.bmtoutdoors.com/stormr/ They don't even carry the entry level suit that you are looking at.. Yeah my hillbilly math uses an ababcus and make me count in hex.

wait, how did you get the prices from bass mafia tackle when they don't even carry the suit? you just figured the prices are the same for everything? the only product they have listed on bass mafia tackle is the strykr and the typhoon. those are stormr's top end cold weather suits. I just bought a strykr suit for christmas for much less than they have it listed for. It's by far the best made and warmest suit I have ever owned. I love both of my guidewear sets, but these are on another level and allow you to wear minimal clothing underneath even in the coldest weather. the nano is the new hot weather gear. I just got a quote from the board rep for right at 200

    NANO JACKET $149.95
    NANO PANT $99.95

If you want a reasonable set that is light weight just for rainy days i use frog togs too. The entry level ones they sell at dicks for like $60 a set. Always kept me dry.

Still like my Cabelas Pac-lite pants and jacket. Just a thin layer of goretex. I get more use of this than my guideware gear.

The new Simms Challenger Suit that we recently released is amazing. I have one. I am completely dry even in downpours and I don't burn up. Definitely worth checking out!
