i stopped by a friends shop this afternoon as I saw him and his friends out working on his boat. He has just purchased a Nitro Z9. Don't know what year, but looks like 10 or newer. He is having a problem of not getting power to his main power switch on the console. He stated that the main power to the console comes thru what they call a brain. He has power to the brain but not out. He has called Nitro & tried calling the manufacturer - who has went out of business - and got nowhere other than the fact a new brain is $1400.00.
I have a 2006 210 Procraft with the same style of soft touch keypad & was told I also have basically the same setup.
Ok. Does anyone out there have a fix or a schematic for this unit/brain or whatever? He also stated that there is only 4 wires or so coming from the back of the keypad module. Can anyone explain to me how this works? I mean when I press on a button - say Livewell recir. pmp - which also has 3 lights - which I assume is basically a timer --- and there is no wire coming from the switch to said pump. What gives. Someone explain to me has this works. If it is not hardwired, is it a wireless signal?? .....to the brain??
Its nice when all of this stuff works, but when it doesn't work, Gheez.
Thanks ahead.
Very confused.
