    What color is the oil? Are you using DFI? Look up the mid section with a good strong flashlight to see if there's any evidence of oil.

    I used dfi, cannot tell color, really not much more than coating . think oil from leaking tank must have seeped into there some how, it was a big mess.

    Optimax oil will fluoresce under UV Detection Light (and glasses)- look for seepage up around the base of the powerhead (looking up through the driveshaft housing).
