Put in my order today 2017 Sabre FTD

So after all the suggestions and advise from you guys here and my dealer (aqua tech) I decided on a 2017 Sabre with a Mercury 150 4s. I went this way so I could get all the options I wanted. Options are as follow

    MotorGuide X5 80lbs 45"
    helix 7 DI bow
    helix 7 SI console
    Fulton XLT Jack
    trailer grab post and step
    hummingbird Ethernet cable
    transducer shield for the SI
    water pressure gadge
    hamby bow protector
    hot foot and pro trim
    2 8' power pole blades
pro touch pad, security system & lighted boxes
    2 retractable rod straps
    plus all the standard stuff

I went with an Apple red, Malibu red combination with a black boot. Storm carpet pewter seats, platinum and red inserts and trim.

AquaTech was great to work with and would recommend them to anyone in South Florida to go check them out if you are looking at Bass Cat.

Now the wait starts. Has it been 8 weeks yet

Have them put a pair of LED backup lights on the trailer as well. Congrats on the new boat.

Congrats although I'd recommend the MK ultrex unless you don't fish any open water.

Thanks guys. I decided against the ultrex as most of my fishing is at lake Okeechobee is less than 4 feet.

Congrats on the Sabre order! While I didn't keep my Sabre that long I really liked it, just wanted more room for my son and his high school fishing tournaments plus I wanted more speed. I would have liked to have kept the Sabre for him and a friend to fish out of by himself. He's already asking when he can take the Eyra out by himself as he turns 16 in March.

That's awesome. My oldest is 5 and in 10 years hopefully I can give him this new one and upgrade myself, but a lot can happen in 10 years.

Train them young because the responsibility of a boat is a learned skill, just like a firearm for hunting or target use. The arduous wait begins for you and we appreciate the decision.

I just got my bid in today on a 2017 Sabre ftd Advantage with g2 150ho. I just want to see a Sabre FTD in person to see deck size. Wondering if maybe it was same size deck as older 361 Ranger? I am also looking at the z185 ranger. Saw one in person and it is good sized deck for sure. Just not sure about performance because they say loaded it is a 53 to 55 mpg boat.

The Sabre FTD will pull 60's plus on the G2 150. The G2 is an expensive product and should perform well.

BCB do you think the g2 150 ho and the g2 175 would be much power difference? I do not care to go fast. Only like to do 60 loaded when I n tournament. Other an that ill mainly do 35 to 40 at cruise speed.

You will really like your Sabre FTD. I have the same boat in the 2015 version. .and a Merc 150 FS.. Very quiet engine .. powerful too.
My boat runs about 65ish with two people.. plenty enough for me..
    Congrats on your purchase :)
