    hydraulic lines for poles

Has anyone used a different set of lines other than the stock lines that come with the poles?

Can older poles be retrofitted to the new hydraulic lines. I just got two new pro II poles that I have not installed. If I could convert them to hydraulic lines now I would prefer that. Will power pole sell a conversion kit?

The new lines can not be retrofitted to the older poles and pumps (per powerpole) there is no powerpole conversion kit at this time.

The problem is going to be the brass compression fitting used on the older cylinders. These are typically for lower PSI applications. If you could adapt the cylinder fitting to something more standard and work back from there it would be much easier to build a custom line.

After looking at the 90 degree fitting from the cylinder, it looks like its probably a 1/4 npt to 5/16 brass compression.

Any local hyd. shop should have a 1/4 npt to O Ring Boss/O Ring Face/Flare etc that is more easily adaptable than the compression fittings. Of course the pump fittings would have to be changed too.

I have an old pole and one of the original lines I couldn't stop leaking so I went to a hydraulic shop and had a line built. The guy at the shop matched up the fittings and I installed it and have never had another leak.
