Bravo 1 FS which pitch should I go with??? Mercury Prop Calculator below! Champ 206

Running a Lame Dud Bravo 1 26p Lab right now. PTP is 3.5" 2005 Champion 206 05 Verado 275. Good holeshot now just no bow lift. Guy recommended a 26 or 27 Bravo 1 FS. Any thoughts? Looking to purchase now.

    26p Bravo 1
    RPMS AT WOT 5800
    MPH AT WOT 63
    PTP 3.50"
    2005 Verado 275
    Gear Ratio 1.85

Mercury Prop Selctor says I should be running 77.9 MPH
    Thanks Chris

I didn't think the bravo was a bow lifter, I've always heard it's a hull lifter.

+1 Don't have the FS so I don't know if my experience is applicable. Original Bravo 1 XS 25 p is not a bow lifter. But great all around prop. Bravo 1 26 p drilled and worked by Mark Croxton not a bow lifter either compared to Tempest Plus but better than original Bravo 1 XS. Make sense?

Send your Bravo1 26P Lab to Mark to get it checked. The Lab prop should be better than a conventional stock Bravo1.

New info added above I see. I don't know what your max RPM is with the Verado, but if it's close to 5800 then do NOT go with to a faster pitch prop.

You need to go to the champ board, then you can compare with the other fellas. Don't believe the merc page too much, my champ is no where's near where they claim it should be.

What elevation are you running at? Did you try raising that Bravo up to 3" under or above?

I would also not believe the merc page.
    I have a 206 with 250HP and turning about 63mph with 4 batt, 2 10' power poles, and a ton of gear. 2.75 " under pad

Max RPMS on my Verado is 6400. Elevation is about 1100 feet . Yes I have ran it at 3" currently at 3.5" Water PSI is good. Have a Manual plate.

    I didn't see how low your RPM's were, so I'll change my answer.......You definitely do NOT need a 26-27P Bravo1......You need a 24-25P Bravo1, or a 25P Tempest......Your killing that motor by not running it at 6300-6400 RPM's!!!!

I don't think the Trophy is the answer for your boat/motor combination.

24P Bravo1 FS, because it IS the best overall fishing prop, and it can easily be made into a 25P.

I would NOT send your 26P to Mark, I would sell in on the boards, as is.

You still need to raise it up when you get another prop. I'll agree that bravo is a dud.

Bravo with the full flare lifts the whole boat, but not the bow. Bravo's with the cut flare lift the bow, but lose some stern lift. Appears you have a defective Bravo, and not getting any aspect performing correctly.

No one has mentioned the new Fury 4. I've run both it and the Bravo I XS on my PII and the Fury 4 is slightly better in speed, holeshot and every bit as equal in mid-range acceleration as the Bravo. On my hull, the Fury4 liked to run a little lower than the Bravo.

I'm also running a Fury 4 24p on my 206 with a 225 H.O. and really liking it. Hole shot is under 5 sec, keeps comfortable plane at 21-23mph and mid punch is awesome. I have yet to try it on big water, but I think it will work great as you can feel any throttle input. Power loading is also not a issue. I'd probably have one of heaviest 20 footers if I had a 4S hanging on the back and this prop makes it feels much lighter.
