    BEST ZX225 prop (2016 boat)??

    What would be the best overall prop for a 2016 ZX225...225 SHO?
    =================================================
    The stock prop did well...my backup is a 26 FXP worked by Croxton...
    wondering if anyone has a better prop match?

    BTW, I did 70.1 with FXP this week in 65 degree water and about the same with the stock prop...
    thanx

    Did you try raising the plate with that FXP? That prop ran very high on my rig.

    I will add this. I have run 22 different props/tweaks on the 15 Zx 225. Out of them the 25T1 is still my recommendation for best overall. A worked 25 Tempest would be second. Give up a touch of speed, get better handling with the tempest. Another factor that also leads me to the 25T1 is also the overall cost factor for performance.

    As always what prop will depend on plenty of factors like elevation, weather conditions, and payload.

    I recommend the Tempest. It's way easier to drive than the T-1, and really close on the top-end.

    I use a 25p for tournaments, and a 26p running solo. That's 73-76mph respectively.

    RPM on both props? I have a 25 T1 worked by Mark Still 62-6300 RPM I think that is to high. I also have 26 FXP That runs well but still turning 6100 RPM.

    T1 is what most will recommend

    I think the stock was a T1...it now has a few dings so is boxed up to mail to MC...
    the backup is the 26 FXP worked by MC...it got me right at 71 last week solo.

    Guess I have a great situation overall...will keep Tempest in mind though

    thanx for the input
