Agreed, tho i like Charger boats the graphics are not good, Champions clean lines are much better. 187 elite for me please..

Great news. Talked to Kelly Power and his Son at Springfield boat show Saturday and they said work begins on the 198 Elite NEXT MONTH.

I had a 2004 Champion 198. I loved that boat. If Charger can "remake" the 198 like it used to be, they won't be able to keep them on the lot.

I may well be wrong, but my understanding is that when a company takes a boat and uses it to make a new mold from its hull (ie, "splashing"), the resulting boat hulls made from that mold, in this case, will be Champions. Still called splashed hulls. I do not know if this is what Charger did. No? Yes? Pat, Matt!!!!

I had also heard that PE had destroyed the original Champion molds with the possible exception of the 183, 202 (new style) and 210, which were built as Stratos for a few years. What happened to those molds with the sale to BPS/JM, I have no idea.


EDIT:

Just read a post in the Champion forum written by a guy who says he knows the actual 210 and 198 Champions which were splashed to make the molds which Charger now has.
