Must be why they hardly sold any, over priced. If a 2017 210 is $56k-$57k, how does Charger think they can get $60k for a 198 in 2018, with a smaller motor?

Supply and demand. Not much different than a $40k tin boat with a 150!

Not saying it's right by any means

Yeah but with 210’s going for $56k, I have a hard time believing the demand is there for a 198 at $60k. At this point it’s all moot anyways since they haven’t finished a single one yet. Wish I had a desire for a 21’ though, prices seem pretty good compared to msrp.

keep this in mind most 210 are in the low 60's. The 920 is a foot shorter then the 921 and its only 1800 a boat less when rigged the same and you can buy a 921 cheaper then a 920 in some cases. The 198 is about a foot shorter and should be around 60 when rigged the way most of us rig them out. They are just all very expensive.

good luck and I hope you get what you want.

The boat at Big Mac Marine is a 2017 closeout and has a good price on it. But Charger is mnown cor reasonable pricing on boats. I would not think they would price gouge on the 198. Also price gauging generally comes back to bite you in the end.

    What exactly is price gauging?

I would not put a number on it but it will be clear whether or not they are taking advantage of the situation by overcharging. I think they will be reasonable whether it’s the Elite or CX model.

On a recent Fishing U, the younger Dorris was on the show saying the 198 would be released in a couple of months. Not sure when the show was filmed tho.

I was recently quoted 40k for a HULL and TRAILER. No motor, no options, no troller, no electronics, no nothing. Hull and trailer for 40K. I consider that price gouging.

Price gouging is on items that you have to have a bass boat doesn't matter.

Charger may have raised their prices. This 186 with a 150 is right at $40,000.

They're all gouging! Economy is doing well, so these manufacturers are trying to make up for lost revenue. How about $40grand for an aluminum boat with a 150??!!
