The 198 had the 206 style top cap, the 200/202 had the 210 style which is taller. Made for deeper boxes front & rear and a deeper livewell.
Iam sure they are using the 202 but will find out.

Why would you want pics of the donor hull? From loooking at pics on the internet, the 2006 looks just like my 2005.
Duane...other than the newer style console, my 2005 Elite topcap, storage, etc is identical to the 2004. You saw it when we formed the Home Depot Accord of 2004. Pretty sure the same is true for the 198 when it was moved from Elite series to the CX series. The 200, as you have noted, is different. That's when Stinson got involved.
Lea, I got one of the first 2004 models off the line, you had a late 2004 or early 2005?. Storage between my blue Champion 198 and your Red Champion was totally different. I wish I had pics right now to show you. Also, Stinson was involved in all the changes to Champion after 2004 as he was the lead engineer at Stratos/Champion Genmar.
Comparing storage/top on mine with the pics of the 04 in the brochures....identical except for change to console design. I yield to you regarding all later ones. Mine was built in Oct of 04.
