Actually, the one Bobcat gave the link to https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Jac...413140334.html is a few dollars cheaper! I ordered one today also. In fact, I got an email from etrailer about an hour after I ordered it saying it had shipped.

You shouldn't need a high lift jack. If your truck has a lift you should be using a drop hitch to compensate. The trailer tongue should always be the same height regardless of your truck height. I believe the tongue is supposed to be at 15" or 16" from the ground when hooked up. There actually should have been a tag on the tongue stating this if you got it new....at least mine did.

I just cut the wheel off the shaft and adapted a $10 thrust bearing between the shaft and wheel. Turns like a dream now.

Yeah I tried a drop tow bar for a while but the property I turkey hunt has a lot of ruts and wash outs. Even with the 4 inch lift I have that drop hitch was frequently dragging like a plow. I just went back to a standard tow bar. Boat rides fine a little front high.

Well, I installed the jack today on my RT188 trailer. I installed the jack so that the top points toward the boat when in the up position. It will install the other way, but the wheel slightly rubs the trailer even when the tube is adjusted all of the way up on the bracket.

Correct. Make sure to get this one Fulton F2 Swing-Up Trailer Jack for 4 - 5 Frames - 8" Wide-Track Wheel - Bolt On - 1,600 lbs - F1413140334. It's the same one that Bobcat recommended.

Just installed mine yesterday. Here's a couple of pics. Forgot to take one in the stowed position, but it looks just like the one above.

This is the one I ordered from eTrailer and These are the bolts I used. They're a little longer than the stock ones.

Just installed an F2 on my Ranger trailer and as others have said, swing the wheel to the front and no probs with clearance. I did replace the 1" bolts with 2" and a lock washer with blue loctite just to be sure everything was secure. Awesome upgrade for not too many $$s. For those of you who still have the factory, I'd suggest you upgrade before you have a problem. Etrailer shipping was super quick...had it in 2 days...
