    Z-21 Jack plate adjustment

    Guys,

I have a 2016 Nitro Z-21 with a Mercury 250 XS. I just got the motor good and broke in and would like to adjust the jack plate to get some more speed out of it. I have a manual slide master. Can ya'll please give me the measurements on how many inches I can raise it without hurting my motor ?

    Thanks!

There is not a defined dimension that you can raise or lower your jackplate-P2P. You will have to move it and watch your water pressure and your handling. Make a move, document it, go to lake and run it. Post what prop you have and your present P2P and the numbers that you have seen and you will get some help here. I have Bobs 12" hydraulic on mine and I see 70mph on mine and can let go of wheel very stable.
