    Starter replace

My boat motor was not starting properly the last couple of trips, I thought it might be the bendix. I found it quite easy to remove the starter from my motor: one wire and 4 bolts. Sure enough, the bendix was sticking. Years of flywheel dust turned what little grease was left into a sticky goo. Took the starter to a Sportscenter, who cleaned it up and replaced the bendix. $95 Pretty cheap as far as boat repairs go. 2009 Ranger Z520, Evinrude Etec 250HO
