Hole where flush mounted unit was...

I just removed and sold the Humminbird 798ci that was flush mounted to the console of my 07 Tr20X. Looking for (inexpensive)ideas to cover this hole and make it look good. The unit is about 7"x5.5" and the hole is slightly smaller than this. Thanks!!!

Lexan or Plexiglas, spray painted your choice of color on the back side.

+1. I had a panel that looked great after about 8 years...was still looking good when I removed it to upgrade. I hit the backside with about 120 grit sandpaper on an orbital sander and gave it a uniform frosted look. This provided a good enough profile for the paint. Just remember to apply thin coats and let it cure the right amount of time between coats. Prior to coating, you can sand down the cut edges going progressively finer with the sandpaper. Then, hit the edges with a heat gun until it melts any remaining scratches away. The cut edges will then look crystal clear and super smooth.

Those panels for the dash might still be available through Triton. They are not too expensive.

I had some made by a guy I work with. Aluminum piece with vinyl graphics decal he made to match my color scheme with triton boats logo. I'm not sure how to post a pic but can send from my phone. Coach

+1 on the painted plexiglas. Cheap, easy, and looks very well done.

Nope, buddy at work made it. He works in Maintenace at school and they have a sign maker. I told him kind of what I wanted and designed it. Gave me 4 different color options and I went with that one. I thought it turned out pretty good. I have one on console and one on bow.
