    Well, I'll take a guess. With the same motor, I'd expect the FX21 to be 2-3mph slower. It has a longer nose, so less bow lift.

    14FX21=72 mph. 16FX20=75 mph. Boat speed w 2 people and fully loaded tanks. FX21 was running a 25 FXP. 16FX20 running a 26 FXP.

    Are those speeds with poles or Talons? I have a 2013 FX 20 with 250 SHO and 26 FXP. Boat has 2 Talons. Can't get over 5400 rpm and 68 mph.

    You better drop a pitch size. The SHO likes to be propped at higher rpms close to 6000. If not problems can result. Id drop to a 25P.

    Sounds like your throttle is not opening up all the way....a 25 will only give you about 200 rpms, I have a FX20 no talons and run a 26FXP at 6000 rpms....your not going to loose 600 rpms with just talons

    Check you're hot foot and see if you're getting all you can.

    Hey Bass13, please post here what you find out, I have a 2014FX20, same deal, 26p FXP 5700-5800 RPMs and 71mph, 25p FXP 6000-6100 rpms 71mph. I'm at a little higher altitude so don't know that it makes that much difference but I'm still not getting the front end lift I'd like. I have a manual slidemaster and have adjusted in and run it at 10 different heights and basically this is the best I can get out of it.

    I had same issue as foolinbass with the FXP prop. Not sure I ever saw 71 more like 70.6 if I remember correctly. I cant get the speeds everyone else does from the 14-16 era FX20's. My next attempt is installing a hydraulic jackplate and tinker with that.

    Are yall running the 250 SHO on the FX20? The speeds yall are posting sound like you have a 225hp motor. I figured the FX 20 would run 80mph with a 250 SHO.

    Haven't been able to use boat much this season due to work obligations. Took the Talons off boat. 2013 Skeeter Fx20. 250 Sho, Atlas hydraulic jack plate, 26 FXP Boat ran 5800 rpm and 71mph. Still seams low.
