    Motorguide rubber mounts

Im wanting to take my motorguide off the bow so I can clean, buff, polish, and wax everything. I have noticed that the rubber mounts that he trolling motor sit on are pretty cracked and nasty. Are all the rubber mounts the same for the digital series or are they going to be model/serial number specific?

They're not model specific. You need the isolators for the Motorguide mount.

The rubber isolators sell for $ 3.50 each, plus the freight.
    Thanks

They are not needed on the MinnKota trolling motors, although some use them. Depending on the jon boat, if you don't have access under the top to "nut" the bolt, I would suggest going with the "togglers" that are sold at Lowes. You will want the 1/2" that uses 1/4" bolts

I like those rubber mounting isolator bolts. For todays boats where access under the front deck is a bit easier I will slice off the long end from the top hard rubber pad and just use the pad under the mount for each bolt . Years ago when it was nearly impossibe getting at the underside to install nuts on the bolts then a larger hole had to be drilled to slip those isolators into and then mount the TM. It seemed every year I had to either tighten down a bolt or two or even replace an isolator.
