    RT188 Coin Box

Well I finally installed my new coin box. This is the same box that is installed in all Bass Cats. Thought about ordering Ranger carpet and redoing it but that's alot of work. (still might). A new coin box for the RT198 from the factory is over $500

I have been contemplating buying one of those for my tracker but I fish with 3 people more than several times a year and that has kept me from doing it.

Don't change a thing. The color change on the box will make sure people know where to step. If anything the box maybe a little too thick. Looks like it might be a big step to make but i'm not in the boat looking at it either. You mentioned how much the ranger box was but didn't say how much the Basscat box was. Not sure if you want to say but i was curious. Nice addition to your boat.

The Bass Cat box was $135. Their website says 2 to 6 week delivery time. It took 7 weeks to get mine, probably due to holidays.

It's made out of some kind of composite plastic. Probably 1/2" thick or more. VERY sturdy.

Cool Thanks. The blue gray looks like more of a match to my carpet.

Wow big difference in 500.00 dollars and 135.00 dollars. I don't think i would have a hard time deciding which one i would choose since i fish by myself most of the time. Is the coin box from Basscat water proof?

It's made out of some kind of composite plastic but I would think that some water could seep in through the lid closure. So I'm not sure.

I varied from 270-310 pounds the time I owned my eight year old Cougar that had that box. Miss it, nice to see how it fits. Cat has great prices on their parts!

I ordered one of the same box to put it in place of my center seat that a non-boater in my club that weighed close to 400lbs stepped on and destroyed then didn't have the nerve to tell me. It wasn't until after I saw it and mentioned that it was busted and he just looked at me as if to say it wasn't me. I know better because I had been in the underseat storage that morning before the tournament. Anyway I ordered the box and it took them close to 6 weeks to get it sent but it was perfect when they sent it to me and fit in place perfectly. They did a great job on it and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a box to replace a seat.
