    There is No "Reservoir". The compressor strainer screws into the adapter plate. You can't clean the compressor strainer with the flushing attachment, if that's what your asking.

    I believe that's so any trash that's trapped will come out when you flush instead of going back into the strainer.

    I would describe the area as a Cavity with channels.
