    Prop Advice

Good afternoon I am putting a 2017 200 Pro XS on my Cobra 190 DC. I have a four bade prop 26 Pitch on the EFI. would it do just as good with the new motor? If I have to use the Fury prop what pitch would be good?
    Thanks or the help.

You're probably just going to have to try the prop you have and see how it does and go from there. If you try a 3 blade, you might try a tempest rather than a fury. I have a 180 with a 175 and the 4 blade works best for me.

The 4 blade will give you a bit better handling and quicker onto the pad, while the 3 blade will give you a more speed at top end. After testing your current prop in the sweet spot (which is @3 1/4" to 3 1/2" below the pad), record your results and then try a 25" Tempest and do the same. Hopefully you know someone that will lend you their 25 Tempest for testing, but if you don't you may be able to secure one from your local dealer. If it's top end speed your looking for and your set-up is correct with a balanced and blueprinted 25" Tempest you should see 70-72mph. Without having it balanced and blueprinted you should be around 67-68mph.

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!

I went from a 225 efi to a 225 optimax and I'm running the same prop's I ran on the efi. I run a 25p 4 blade and a 25p 3 blade depending on where I'm going and fast I want to get there
