I am not a fan of the compact models but it is hard to do any better than an ice 1911 and Springfield makes a good one.

I have got away from the hammer guns over the years but "I'm back", love this thing, it should be a tack driver

Bring it to the Mid West Rally, We'll take it down to the water edge and try it out on some carp...

I bought one a couple of months back and love it. Great carry gun and shoots like a dream. Take down isn't bad but reassembly is a pain in the butt. Other than that, I love it.
    Boatless Bank Trash for now

Yeah, I watched a Hickock45 review video and even he was having trouble on reassembly, seems like you need a third hand, I will tackle that job after I get a few down the pipe.....

I would recommend adding a strip of tape down the slide so you don't get the idiot scratch when trying to insert the slide stop. It's truly a pain in the butt due to the plunger from the safety being right there.

    very nice
Cut a buessness card tio cover the firearm when installing the slide lock. jUst cut out area where the lock goes into gun so you will not scratch the firearm. I did this for my kimber 1911 works great.
