    lifting motor up

Just a question? When your boat is not in use covered up should the jack plate be raised all the way up and motor trimmed all the way down for freezing temps?

I always store the motor trimmed down. Drain it before you leave the lake as well. No experience with a hydro plate, if that's what you have. Lots of good info in your engine's owners manual and the sticky posts above.

Always store engine in the FULL DOWN position during the seasons that result in freezing temps.
