    Water sensor removal

I have a 2004 opti that is leaking fuel out of the sensor. There are 2 wires in cased in epoxy and the epoxy is degraded. It looks like it should just screw out. I tried but it wouldn't move. It's plastic and I don't want to tear it up.

    how does it come out?
I leave for a tournament Wednesday. Could I just add epoxy to get me through the tournament?
if my local dealer doesn't have the part can someone get it to Texas by Wednesday afternoon?

I would NOT rely on any epoxy repair. The part needs replaced.

Also, I wouldn't remove the part unless you have a new one. I would forego the tournament if there is a fuel leak.

+100 to BOTH above replies. Leaking fuel carries with it a risk of Fire or Explosion!

Sensor unscrews (counter-clockwise). Use a 6-point wrench or socket.
