Moving Manual jack plate when installing Talons

Looking for advice. Buying 12' talons for my '10 Ranger Z118. Have a manual jack plate that is currently set at level. Should I move the jack plate at all either lower to get on plane faster or slightly higher for better top end? First timer with Talons...

The added weight of 2 gen1 Talons with tilt brackets did affect my holeshot and top end, but not that bad. With 2- 200lb guys, tourn. load, full livewells and 30 gal. of gas I still get on plane fine, but not quite as good as before and I only lost about 1 mph. With my set up I don't think moving my plate would get that back. I'm running a 04' Ranger 185 dual console, 150 Vmax carbed, 5.5" CMC manual plate, 57 mph (gps) 5500 rpm. plate is 3.25" below the pad. Numbers will get better when I get my 22' Bullet/ 250 Merc!!! LOL Hope this helps!
