And because he is a realist, he decides to make the most of his time there. So the first day Satan shows him the big pile of rocks he will be pounding on with a heavy sledgehammer. He starts pounding away and whistling the CDB classic " the devil went down to Ga".
The dark and evil one was mad that one of his new residents was enjoying his time there, so he had the HVAC crew turn the heat way up on the rock pounding room. The old Ga farmer just laughed and said, " it reminds me of my days working my fields back during the hot Georgia summer."
Well the Devil (who is female by the way) just can't stand to see a man enjoying himself. So on the third day she ordered the HVAC crew to make it cold and nasty, sleeting and snowing on the Georgian as he toiled away on his pile of rocks.
She came in to check on the poor man to see if she had broken his spirit yet, but he was just as happy and smiling as he swung that hammer in the freezing rain.
Satan is mad, as she hasn't been able to break this man and she asks the man, "What's wrong with you? The more miserable I make it the more you like it, what gives?"
The old farmer says, " It was rough when I started pounding those rocks, and it got worse when you made it hotter, but when I got here and it was cold and nasty I couldn't contain my excitement because,
