It's getting close! USCG was to inspect it yesterday 1/25/2017. Have not talked to Chub to be sure it happened.
Hope to get some good pic soon..

Pardon my ignorance but why does the coast guard have to inspect it if it's already an approved hull? Do they have to inspect one from each model year when they are build in spite of no changes to the hull vs the 2014's?

Not sure just what all has to comply with their regulations but the fuel tank has to and the boat has to have vent if it has the built in fuel tank. The lights as to comply also. I think that the bowl lights that are in the rub rail of not compliant as it has to be above the trolling motor.

Mike might have more information on this. I don't know if each and every boat has to be inspected or not.

It's my understanding that we report that a boat has been completed and in order to have the USCG seal installed it is open for inspection.

When they say they are coming... You don't say NO

Matthew...It is more than the hull that they inspect as your safety cannot be shortcut. They look over and tell you what is acceptable and what if anything must be changed. Their input is implemented whether its liked or not
