SD Card size for the 93SV

Can anyone tell what size SD card that the 93SV unit will handle?

I believe 32g is the biggest although ive heard of guys using a 64g and formatting it to fat32 although I have no idea what that means. Physical size they take a microsd card.

I'm running a Samsung 64 GB Evo microSd card. I can't find the post where I detailed how to format 64 GB with FAT32...

Nice, I read somewhere if you format it FAT32 it will work.
You just can not do it with windows formatting as it only recognizes 32Gb FAT32 partitions.

Sort of related, does anyone know how you can use existing map cards that are SD on these Micro SD units?
Is there a conversion tool?

All you can do is try to copy the contents of the SD to a Micro SD and see if it works. I'd be a bit surprised if it worked expecting that they use some type of protection to keep people from copying cards instead of buying them.

Garmin units will only recognize Garmin maps. There are a couple of other specialty chart makers out there that offer their charts in a format that will work with Garmin, but no major brand names.
