Set up for a bumble bee?

I know I'm posting in a bullet forum but you guys know set ups like nobody else. My buddy just got a 98 200 pro v bumble bee with a Johnson 200 and I've been looking on the web for a good starting point to set it up. I have not measured pad yet but it's at 58 mph with a 26p raker running 5700rpm which 6000 is max has about 25 pounds of water pressure. Any info would be appreciated. And if this is not allowed In this site please let me now and I will remove it. There's no help on the bumble bee forum. Thanks

If you have that much water pressure from a gauge you trust you need to come on up with the plate and sounds like you need a higher pitch prop once you do that. It was probably set up for a heavy load so then once you load it up try some spacers for more setback to get some bow lift those boats need it

I would go and fined another prop for sure that is over 30% slip, don't think I would go any more pitch until you fined a better prop . You might fined it hard to turn that one if it was good.

Renegade bass in the omc line. Id try a 25. The newest raker model with the adjustable vents will work well too.

I ran a 27 tempest on 2100 with a 250 hammer for a couple years than ran out real well. I tried a couple 4 blades with it but didn't have any success.

I had a like rig, 200 Pro Vee with a 200 Merc. It liked 4 bladed props much better than 3 and a 26P was about the max it would handle no matter how high on the JP. I think 3.5 inches below pad is about where I ran best.

It would run 68-69 mph with the 200. I repowered with a 225 EFI and it would run mid 70's turning a 27p TRO4 Powertech prop.

We ran several different props the other day and the best we could get is 60 with a 27 4 blade renegade about 2.5 bp. Had to run it dangerously on the trailer trim to get 60. The rpms was about at 5800. Just wondering if the boat is water logged. Does any body know where all the foam is located so we can check it out. Thanks for all the help

My old 04 180 with a 150 would hit 65 with just me and empiy livewells. I ran it 3.5 from pad and 25 tempest. It ran best with nose high and was a handfull to drive. Once i put another person or filled live wells i would lose 5- 8 mph. and hole shot was crap

I had a 95 200 Pro Vee with a 250xb that ran 84.5 with me loaded to fish and 83 with a partner. It outran everything at Bumble Bee rallies for 4 years. The secret is to add cup for stern lift on a Bee. I would also say it must be a 4 blade prop. I own a Bullet now but I ruined several Bullet owners day with that boat. I really miss that boat.

Most foam is under the floor and rear compartments and battery boxes. You are under powered with 200. With stock 225EFI and a 26 trophy I ran 72 loaded to fish. Then I put a hot 250XB with stern cupped 26 trophy to hit 84.5.

That is where I got the handle KLLR BEE

You need to use a 4 blade prop with cup added for stern lift. Any prop guy worth anything can do cupping for stern lift. With the numbers you show I would go with a 25 Trophy prop with cup added for stern lift.
