Coffee addict - How to brew on board?

OK, 23 years in the Marines have left me addicted to coffee. A large thermos is totally inadequate for my habit. Not to mention that my wife is just as bad, and we fish together allot! When we rode motorcycles we used to use the coffee bags that looked like tea bags and cooked over a tiny camp stove that sits atop the fuel cans.

Is there a safe method to brew coffee in the boat? I have a healthy respect for fire on a boat.

I love coffee... I've not thought about brewing aboard the boat - but some cold mornings it would be nice!

Ok so I thought I was the only one doing this in my boat. I picked up a 300 watt inverter and mounted it in my boat with its own battery. Then I bought the small keurig and now I keep a gallon jug of water and some k-cups handy and I got coffee on the boat. I have actually sold cups while duck hunting. I gave this on both my boats an love it

if you go through more than a gallon of coffee, you may want to consult a doctor.

Thermos full of hot water and a bottle of cold brew concentrate. You can either buy the concentrate or make it yourself.

If I brewed on board I'd also need to invest in a toilet.

12v ciggy lighter installed on Boat, most large truck stops, RV Stores, and even Walmart.. sell 12v coffee makers there ya go!can also get a 12v ciggy lighter plug 12v/100v converter and use 110v one from home.. but being on lake total 12v be safer... 110v and water don't mix

Pilot truck stops 12volt coffee maker, just like most have at Home, just need a 12v ciggy plug in Boat ! nuff said!

I have a portable charger that also has a 110 outlet, I picked up a Keurig at a yard sale for $10 and have my pods handy and bang fresh hot coffee

Once on the water, I don't have time for coffee. Besides, I usually end up spilling it on the carpet.

Have had the problem, never really considered solutions. Gallon thermos seems easiest to me. May have to give it a try.

This one is a good bit cheaper than that other link. I think it is intended for other liquids though

The power inverter and kuerig is the way to go. With the bigger pots you have to worry about the pot spilling and keeping it hot. Then when it's later you can plug in the blender and make some Margheritas. Oh and then pull the small grille out that fits in your seat post and full on party mode. Reading this explains why I probably don't do so good during a tournament.

You could use this to heat water for the coffee bags.

But if it's that important, I'd think one (or two) of the vacuum sealed gallon bottles would be the ticket.

You boys need a center console with a 'porta potty' if you plan on THAT much coffee.

Try a Jetboil camping stove with the french press kit. Very compact and super quick to make a really good cup of coffee.
