If you have a cigarette light connection, you could use something like this:

I used these types of warmers in a car - they will get your water hot - even boil. Use this with a pod/bag coffee (tea-bag style).

Not trying to be a smart@55, but Why not just bring a second or third thermos? Just seems like an awful lot of extra effort and possible spills, burns, carrying extra stuff around.

Laguna, that's pretty much what I have decided.

Been kinda funny to read all this though!

Get extra Yeti large bottles. I have put coffee in those and it will stay hot for hours. I'd have to have a potty on board if I drank coffee to that extent. And I don't mean for peeing...

Is cold coffee an option? If so, Starbucks has some great cold coffee..

Jet boil is awesome... I use it back packing. Lon reason it wouldn't work on a boat... If you're brave enough to have a fire on your boat. That and a French press... It all fits in a little lunch box sized bin and takes only a minute.

I bet you reek like coffee. Other people probably think you smell horrible.

Not to be offensive but coffee drinkers rarely seem to understand what it does to their breath and body odor.

With 23 years in the Marines, I'm sure you've sampled the packs of instant coffee they put in MREs. For a real caffeine fix, tear open one of those, pour it down your throat and wash it down with a cold one,,,, but be prepared to run several laps around the boat.

If youre considering a Growler, or some other big bottle type thing....save yourself a good chunk and go with RTIC instead of the Yeti, or the other "High end" brands that make the exact same quality product.

do you think anyone would stop drinking coffee because it offends you?

i bring a thermos. and a travel mug for the drive.

maybe a beer will help after the thermos dries out.
