    Removing reed valves

I am replacing reed valves in my ox66 and noticed they come out about a half of inch then stop. I think it has to do with their shape.I noticed they are at an angle and there are slots where the two stud bolts are but cant seem to lift them out.I am afraid to put any pressure on them.Is there a trick to do that gets them out? I am trying to be as gentle as possible. I know they are a delicate part. Anyone had this problem?

When all else fails, hit it with a 8 lb hammer as hard as you can. Then pay for the damage you just caused. Use blue locktite on those reed screws!!

Can you let us know how the replacement went performance wise? I am thinking about doing them on my HPDI, feel like ive lost some oomph in mine.
