    Carlisle or Hankook?

I have narrowed it down to these two tires for D class 14". I lean towards Hankook, as I have them on my 4WD, but they have to be ordered. The Carlisle are in stock local, and are $20 cheaper total, not a big deal. Just wanted to know those who have had experience with either, thanks

I have always ran Carlisle as well as my father on his triple axle trailer. Neither of us have ever had a blowout. Carlisle Radial Trail RH. Buy them from tirebuyer.com CHEAP!!!

I just towed today with my brand new Carlisle HD and they were great. Still early but so far so good. Bought them off Tire Buyer for cheap money and free shipping.

I've got the Carlsile tires as well. I can't complain at all about them. I have never seen Hankook trailer tires but the brand in itself has a good reputation. I doubt you would have problems with either.

They have been OEM tires for VW vans & buses for a while. I thought with them being designed for top heavy vehicles, (i.e. stronger sidewall) they would be a good choice for a boat trailer.

I checked walmart's website but did not see a Carlisle class D in a 14" wheel. I will go by there tomorrow and see if they have them in my store. That is a great price.

Not to throw any water on the debate but Goodyear now is making a 14 inch D rated tire in the US. I have set of the Carlisle"s that are in their 3rd year and Im going to look at the Goodyears for their replacement. I have no complaints about this set of Carlisle"s but I'm going to support "American made" when I can.
