    200 SHO converted to 300 SHO, Possible?

    I have a friend that has looked into buying a 200 SHO and having it chipped to be a 300. A yamaha mechanic told him that the 200 SHO has a different camshaft and it cannot be converted to a 300. How about it, can you convert a 200 into a 300 with ecu changes only?

    The Yamaha mechanic was wrong. The same cam shaft used in the VF200 is used in the VF250. Only differences between any of the VF220/225/250 sho's is the ECU and engine graphics.

    Mine is flashed to a 300 an i did not change anything
