Not an Allison but a go fast question

Anybody here have any experience with Shadows with heavy motors in the back.Wondering how they faired.

Don't do it! There is a reason shadow is no longer in business. They had a lot of transom issues. I've driven several and worked on several. The tunnel hulls ran great empty. Weight killed them. The very early year boats were the best. The later year boats had transom failures. I saw one on a lot in Corbin KY with a crack down the exterior of the transom that ran almost to the pad. It was ugly. They are fast boats.

Hes banned but we redid one and added extra knees to the transom. They drive great in good water and corner well in rivers and bayous.

Only experience I had was running a 20' with a Merc 200 and I wound up wet! That particular boat had a liking to bow steer and the owner banked it pretty hard on the Big Cypess a few months later. I have avoided them since. That was 26 years ago.

Ours drives really good with the 200, coned lower etc.
corners pretty dang good in the bayou too.
