    73.9 mph

Had the Sabre up to 73.9. It was an interesting ride in below freezing temps.

Even if you had a good tailwind, that's screaming in a Sabre!

That's ssssssssmokin!!! Gotta love them cold temps on a 2 stroke!! How was the driving experience?? Many talk of the Sabre being a handful over 65 mph. I find my Sabre easier at 69 mph than my Eyra was at the same speed.

My old Sabre was a fun to drive at 69, I bet 74 was a white knuckle ride. Those 18's are NOT the same as a 20 at 70!

Great running man! The shorter (18-19ft) boats at 70+ are a LOT of fun!!!

With my average (light) load and me fishing solo the best I've ever seen was 64.9 on the GPS in my Sabre FTD with 150 Opti. That was a handful to me. I can't imagine another 10 MPH. That's screaming' in a Sabre.

I don't know if its the set up or what, but I can pretty much take my hands off the wheel at 64 mph in my Sabre. I don't have to really drive it till its gets near 67 mph,

That's quite a run for a Sabre FTD 175.. I would be interested in hearing what the actual set up is/was.. Prop..RPM..load.. and if current was in play..

    2013 Sabre ftd
    Merc optimax 175 stock
    25 fury stock
    5.25" below pad
rpm??? close to max but I didnt think to look
    full tank of gas
    full tank of oil
    18) 7-7.5' bait cast r/r 10 of mine in the box 8 of my sons on the passenger side.
full load of tackle(all compartments mostly at max capacity)
    no passenger
    air temp 28 deg
    water temp 49 deg
going down river and down wind
Thats about all I can think of. Boat drives a lil squirrely at 73.9mph, but I had blazer before so I am used to the chine walking. You just have to learn to drive thru it.
