    When in neutral the motor only runs on four of the six cylinders. When shifted into gear the other two then start to fire. I would give it about a minutes time once it has been placed into gear to let the other two cylinders warm up. Maybe longer if the water is super cold.

    Just big block HPDI's for the moment. Some other EFI models are similar but slightly different.
