    Atlas Hydraulic Jack Plate

    Anybody ever have a Atlas hydraulic jack plate powder coated? I realize that you can't powder coat the inside area of the rails, but the rest of it looks like it can be powder coated.

    Does anyone have experience with powder coating a jack plate? I've been searching the net and reading that some powder coating temperatures can actually weaken 6061 T6 aluminum (numerous articles can be found). I know Bobs offers a powder coated jack plate. Really curious to hear from someone that has some expertise. Last thing I want to do is powder coat a plate and have the thing fail.
