Have you ever noticed the block design on Yamaha 2 stroke motors is exactly like an OMC motor? And other components have a remarkable likeness to a Merc? Look at the HPDI fuel delivery system and compare it to a Merc EFI. The Japanese are master copiers and aren't innovators.

Heck in that case I like Master Copiers then because it seems like Japanese makes the most durable and highest quality motors and equipments.

Do you have proof or is it just dock talk?

I prefer Mercury, Chevy, Brunettes, and Crankbaits! Really a personal choice.

The 10 year warranty is only for a few months. If your not buying until later in the year it isn't even on the table.

I would not buy that ugly ass G2 if it had a 20 year warranty. Ran mercury for 40 years and would not change over a longer warranty. Actually I have never used a warranty of any kind and could careless about a warranty. No shop will ever touch my boat or engine.

I would in a heart beat if some one would trade the same year motor with me in 200 hp, Suzuki or Honda.

Im sure the G2 10 year is a 3rd party warranty after the 3rd year. I doubt its 100% either. And there will be a costs associated with that, which is built into the engine.

To the OP buy what you what for your own reasons.

I don't see how merc efi system is even remotely close to hpdi. Completely different so I don't get your point. Btw, they all blow up.

What efi merc produces over 1100 psi of fuel pressure? Maybe couple components look alike on the outside but nothing else is remotely close.
