    20 XDC prop?????

Hello everyone new to the forum, I have just recently bought a used 1999 XDC 20ft Bullet powered by a 225 mercury proXS hydraulic jack plate ( set down pretty far) motor set back 12inches, current prop 26 pitch 3 blade tempst. My question is what would be a good beginner prop for this boat? I've drove bass boats all my life just not a bullet lol. Ive tried different things like adding weight and balancing the boat but has speeds reach 60 mph she wants to chine walk. I have almost 2 tanks of fuel through this thing and feel like I should be able to drive this thing past 60 without it walking on me, almost positive I need another prop just not sure which one any input would be highly appreciated

60 mph is a low number to start chine walking.... Go look in the "Novice boat forum" and watch the chine walk videos to help learn driving your boat to it's potential. A Bravo1 XS or Mark Croxtons Razor4 XL would be good choiced for you. Your motor may need to be raised as well.

Move the mota up to about 1.5" below and start there. You may be able to come up to 1/2 below. The 4 blade prop will also help. Make sure to balance your load as much as possible.

I fish with a 26 bullet cut chopper a lot on my 20xdc but I have a 2.5. Not sure how it would work on a 225 opti.

    Maybe a 27 bravo??!!??

28P bravo 1.. ran one on my 20xdc/300PM.. great all around prop. 1-1/4 above pad..chime walk should not even be heard of in a bullet if setup right..My guess is your too low with your motor. Do you have a low water pick up

I think the OP may be confusing the 4 holes on the nose of TM gearcases with LWP (SM or nose coned TM)....still don't know gearcase type but I suspect it's a stock TM.
