Processing / editing large video files are tedious. So my 1.5 cents is to run the unit in looping mode in say 5 -10 minute loops. When you have some action you want to keep hit the stop record and you will only have the last 5 or 10 minutes of video saved. Some days on the water suck so do I really want to go through 6 hours of nada for that single 1.5 minute fish catch scene. Other advice is to try and rig an external phone charger pack to run the GoPro all day. My GoPro 3+ uses a battery eliminator plugged into one of those 10000mah cell phone / tablet charger packs. I never have to worry about batteries. One last thing - audio sucks from the internal mic especially on windy days. Use an external mic if you want clear audio in your awesome fishing videos. Enjoy it.
