Running Panoptix only......

For the units that run Panoptix, can that be the only thing connected to unit and it run or does unit need to have the sonar/"vu" ducer connected also??? Think about getting a unit and just the PO ducer while leaving my Lowrance connected and running....or i could remove the Lowrance unit completely and install everything for Garmin....this is just on the TM....wanting to test the waters......

I dont know 100% but I cant think of any reason that would not work. You could call Garmin to double check. You also have the option to disable the other transducer if you want.

Jeremy, my GPSMAP 7610 has (2) Panoptix transducers connected, nothing else..I removed the GT-50 and set it on the work bench..

No problem running Panoptix-only with any of the compatible MFDs.

I run just a panoptix 31 nothing else connected.
