    Hot foot

    Santa brought me one for Xmas has anyone installed one ? Will the stock throttle cable work or do I need to purchase a longer one.188dc 175 Mercury EFI

    You'll need a longer one. My guess would be 2 or 3 feet.

    FYI, it's easiest to disconnect the old throttle cable at the engine and just stash it in the bilge somewhere. Leave it connected at the hand control, and just run a new cable from the engine to the hot foot. If anything ever goes wrong with your hot foot or cable, you've still got the old one you can hook back up in a pinch.
