When your fishing buddies nickname is "snagged", the arrow comes in very useful at night. Try going reverse through a stump field to get them unhung without an arrow. It's much easier with a lit arrow. Obviously driving forward is all feel. But, that little bit of difference of knowing what direction the motor is pointed in reverse helps, a lot! We night fish year-round here. The reflective tape is a good thought. I did think about something like that.

Check out my video of the Xi5 from this past weekend. I've had it about 1.5 yrs now and it's the TRUTH. We were fishing a power plant lake's discharge which created a current in addition to the wind which was 25-30mph was dead 90 degrees of current..
Anchor mode would keep us just off of the rocks and able to catch em. About 27degrees too...It was cold!

Been there. Done That. Guess I'm going to have to spring for the one of the new upgraded TM's with anchor lock.
My Fortrex is good, However, in wind like that my foot and leg muscles do get a workout.

My goodness, I must be loosing it!! I looked at your post quoting the guy that said he fished year round and took it wrong thinking it was you. I need a vacation!!! sorry man
