    Yamaha 70 Four Stroke

I'm looking at purchasing a used Ranger RT 178 with a 70 Four Stroke Yamaha. It has around 300 hours from what I've been told. Complete warranty ends February 2017 and major coverage ends February 2019. What can you guys tell me about this outboard? What do I need to be on guard for? Experiences anything as far as info I'd like to hear. Also I know nothing about the warranty program for Yamaha so I'd like to hear all the info about that you guys could share.

    Thanks in advance
    Todd

I had one of the original Yamaha 115 hp 2 strokes, and got 28 years' service with only $241 spent on it. Had oil injection module go out.

I've had my 2012 F150 for 4 Summers, and it's never seen the shop.

My dealer has an assembly and get ready shop. He really doesn't take in mechanic work from the general public as he's had very few problems out of the Yamaha's he sells.
