Did you by chance compare 800khz to the MEGA? There is definitely a big difference in the 455 and MEGA. The right side of the MEGA image begins to darken about mid way across and would tend to look like a downward slope when compared with the G1 image.

Same contrast, sharpness, etc settings? Pretty big difference between the two!

I like it! Especially the zoom feature.I have a Helix 9 si, does the mega use the same transducer? My luck is it doesn't!

Troy, are the "page 1" images from Lanier or are they from Humminbird?

Facebook. The thing that concerns me with the mega is the obvious darkening of the image once range increases. Looks like the range may be slightly less than they claimed?

You must be referring to the green palette. Most people use the amber and blue which look great to me. I think you're just trying to take your usual shot at a HB product.

Just thinking out loud. The others do look much better than the green. You def don't see the same behavior with the green shots in 455. The amber on the first page are def the best shots so far. Either way they are all better than anything else on the market right now, but anything can always be better. Never stop pushing or they will stop improving.

Examples with a different pallet than green. These may just be shallow to deep shots with sensitivity too low? I'm just hoping for a little more range with the mega. These are from Bill Carson on Lanier. Def not the quality images we are used to seeing from him

Kvd posted these from bill on his Facebook page

My friend Bill Carson got these cool shots yesterday of dolphins by the boat and redfish by a bridge while we were in Destin, FL for the Bass Pro Shops associate training seminars with the new Humminbird Helix Mega Imaging. #flipper

Ever wanted to know which way you should present your bait to suspended fish? I know how I would!
