New top speed after raising motor and new plugs, loaded to the gills with about half tank of fuel (20gal.) 65.1 (GPS) @ about 5600rpm's. There has to be more in it yet. Need some proping advise next.

Re: Skeeter owners post your numbers (Phippy)

    I have an 08 20i with a series 2 250 hammer. I ran it with 2 anglers, a tournament load, 3/4 full tanks @ 73.5 with 5900rpms using a beat up 25T-1 prop.

I just put a B&B'd 27VMX from Croxton on and cannot wait to try it out!

Top Speed EVER: 77mph (GPS) (will run 73 consistently)
    RPMs: 6300-6500
Notes: Top speed ever, fully loaded, downriver, big flow.
Tried the same the next day with just me...couldn't drive the boat. Insane chinewalk and hitting pockets of swirling current.
How to get to 70? Have Rich Boger work work work your prop, clip the tach limiter wire, bring the timing up, mix your own fuel, elec fuel pump, and have a spare powerhead or two laying around.
Then, be content with 65mph when you get tired of working on it all the time.

SkeeterDD22, I think you need to get your eyes checked. Thats my Red Sox shirt you see and not quite sure why your questioning my speed, at least that is the vibe I get. Hell thats not even the fastest as I've hit 68 one perfect morning with light load.

    Take a deep breath....now exhale....count to ten.....
Now, Now, wipe away those tears. It'll be okay.
    Just a little joking around.
Not all that impressive though, my little Skeeter's gone well over 80 in the past. (had to slow down for the exit ramp though)

Re: Skeeter owners post your numbers (SkeeterDD22)

i have a 07 21 i with the 250 hpdi and the stock 25 prop, it will barely hit 69ish with 2 people and full gear... i had a 04 zx250 that would do 75 -78 fully loaded the same... is there that much of a difference in speed for these 2 boats??
