I have one for my HDS 7 touch. I've had it for a couple years now and it is sweet. I've ran across St Clair in fairly rough stuff and it didn't budge. There is absolutely no movement once it is tight and it's easily adjustable. In my opinion it's the best mount out there in the that price range.

I ran two of them for a couple years on my last boat. 1199 at console and a 1159 at bow. They were super sturdy and easy to take on and off to put my cover on the boat.

The Balzout mounts are awesome. My only complaint the adjustments are rather coarse.
When you mount it make sure you align the screen exactly how you like it and then drill the mounting holes.

I have one next to my console, two of the little arm pieces have completely lost their color. Maybe a bad powder coat? I don't think its paint. But as far as sturdiness, its good.

Some pieces do fade. Others dont. Strange. Very solid though.

I hear they got the coating fixed that was fading. The parts/arms that I left on the boat when removing units are what faded. Even though they were left under the cover. Must have been from the heat caused by the cover.

12" arm with bullet base. Works good and was able to get it adjusted where I wanted. Definitely worth the money, very well designed. Can get more pics if someone wants to see a different angle.

Did you have a 7" graph that was flush mounted? I'm thinking of flush mounting a 7", but concerned about the steering wheel blocking part of the screen, did you have any issues?

If you look at the pic you can see where my 7 was originally flush mounted. It didn't work for me. I was leaning up allot while on plane to look at my charts. Also while idling over areas I would lean up on the steering wheel to see my sonar and DS. Im no small man at 6'5" but the steering wheel just blocked the lower 3rd of the screen. I love the balzout mount I have now.
