    VMAX 150 Choke

    I have a VMAX V150TLRC that was built 11/03 on an 04 SX-190.

Shouldn't the key push choke work on this motor?

when you push the key in,you should hear the solenoid on the side of the motor click. if you watch it the arm should push forward

Thanks, I'll check the solenoid. Can you jump the solenoid like you could on an old Ford?

Yes, you can simply jumper 12 volts to the solenoid and it should activate.

A small O ring is used to connect the solenoid to the choke plate mechanism. If the O ring has failed it is possible for the solenoid to simply become disconnected. O rings don't last forever but it is a cheap fix. Hopefully that is your problem.
