Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon punching woman video released

Not sure if this has been posted, but it's the first I've seen of the video. This reminds me of the Ray Rice video.

The higher court ruled that it was public record. Up till that time it was being fought in the courts.

It appears the young lady he assaulted didn't want the video to be released. She is suing him now. They probably settle out of court with an undisclosed amount to the victim. It won't stop a team from drafting him.

    I'm not sure.

He could have easily walked away. He had so many choices and he choose to punch her as hard as he could then walk away. There was no reason for that.

What you don't see is her spitting on him and calling him the "N Word". According to witnesses she started the whole incident. She obviously laid hands on him first.

This happened around 2am after the bars closed. Too much alcohol was involved all the way around.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

And the above is more than enough reason for a man to physically assault a woman...

Joe measures in at 6'1 and 227lbs. Walk away Joe, even if she called you a derogatory name. Even if she was drunk and being an ass, then pushed and slapped you, be a man.

She should have also been charged. Witnesses all stated she called him a ******, spit on him, and slapped him before he struck her. I have never hit a woman in my life but I can understand why he did. He paid his price threw the court and with the University. This was all done and over till her lawyer filed another motion the day the statue of limitations was up. This is nothing but her in hopes he goes on to the NFL so she can sue him later.

Says the guy from Oklahoma....shocker. Come on man get real. She isn't innocent and he could have easily called the cops on her, which he should have. But to think his behavior is justified is messed up.

I will agree that adults should keep their hands to themselves and she easily could have been charged with battery. However, SERIOUSLY? She was not a threat to him! Walk away.
