Ideas for replacing in dash sonar

I'll begin work on updating a 1997 201 pro elite. it's got the old X52 in the dash. what are your ideas on what to put in it's spot? It seems the hole left there will be about 5.5x5 inches best I can tell.

    Any ideas?

I saw the covers/panels you guys posted on here, but I'm thinking of maybe a flasher or some other useful thing to put there...not just a plate. Ideas...

Yea I thought about a Sirius stereo at one time too. If you have your graph off to the side, I think it would be a good spot for it.

I filled the spot with a piece of starboard then bolted my new finder to that.

I have a 98 and was wondering the same thing.. Wish I could find something else that would use the through hull transducer that unit is using.

The 1st owner of the rig I have now cut the cable all the way to the transducer, wish they wouldn't have was going to hook the flasher from my other rig to it.

I had a compartment built for it. I'll get some pictures after work. I use it to store wallet and keys if it's not raining.
